Founder of Mommy On Mission

Hi, I'm Crystal

Wife. Mom. On mission.

I'm a wife, a mom, and a Christ-follower who believes motherhood is a mission field, and that a mission needs training. Mommy On Mission is where I share what God keeps teaching me in the everyday work of raising a family: the devotionals we actually use at our kitchen table, the systems that keep our home from tipping into chaos, and the hope I needed on the hard days.

Nothing here comes from a mom who has it all together. It comes from one who is locked in on the mission anyway.

The Bible study series

Mommy On Mission started as a women's Bible study, and the series is its heart: four 10-week studies, Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training, Deployment and Frontlines, that follow a soldier's path from enlistment to the front line. They are being written now. The series page has the plan and a waitlist.

The books

Devoted Family Character Discipleship grew out of our own family's need for a simple, repeatable way to talk about who God calls us to be. It walks through 52 biblical values, one a week, with a short reading and questions that work for little kids and teenagers at the same table.

From Darkness to Light is the book I wish someone had handed me and the people around me when depression was part of our story. It is honest about the darkness, anchored in Scripture, and practical for the person walking through it and for the ones trying to help.

Both are published under Devoted Family, our family's imprint. You can read more about each one on the Books page.

The printables

Our home runs on checklists. The meal planners, chore charts, budgets and routine cards in the shop are the ones that earned a spot on our fridge. They print on regular paper, they are undated so they never expire, and they are made for families with more than one kid and less than enough time.

Teaching and speaking

I have been a professional keynote speaker since 2021. I love teaching moms' groups, women's events and church gatherings on motherhood as a mission, family discipleship, and walking through depression with faith. I don't charge to speak, and that includes my time to prepare, travel, and be there. I only ask that the church cover travel, lodging, and meals, and take up a support offering from the women. Details and a request form are on the speaking page, and my statement of faith is public so you can read it before you invite me.
